At one time a few hundred years or so ago, merchants, traders, Queens, and pirates alike all treasured one thing more than others. From Holland to Japan, Tibet to Madagascar, Caspian Sea to the South China Sea, and everywhere between was crisscrossed with traders and purveyors of the finest treasures:

Spices.

Not all spices are ‘spicy’ but all add complexity, richness, and boldness of flavor to other wise bland foods. Western cuisine is often balanced linearly, by building flavors one by one on top of another, whereas many foods from this era and region often use contradicting spices and flavor profiles to find a balance and harmony in each dish and each bite. Many famous cuisines and dishes are a direct result of this trade. It is our passion and humble duty to bring you these bold delicious flavors, afloat on the vessel of familiar favorites and comfort foods.
